Constitution and Records, 1819 - 1860
The Mission Church, also known as the First Hawaiian Church, was organized in Boston, October 15, 1819. It conducted the whole business of the churches until 1830 when the government and organization were broadened to give more power to the stations. The collection contains the original constitution with the signatures of each member, a manuscript of "The Form of Government and Discipline for the Churches ... ", original letters of transfer of missionaries from American churches, and one bound volume of the constitution and records of meetings.
